How Can You Get Caffeine without Dealing with Tooth Stains?

Posted on 4/30/2017 by Kooning Family Dentistry
A cup of hot coffee.
It's pretty common knowledge that coffee stains your teeth. What better way to start your day, though? It gives a nice caffeinated boost that gets you through your busy morning.

What if I told you there are lots of other ways to get the same boost without the harmful side effects that turn your teeth all gross? It's true! Caffeine isn't the worst thing, and a little jump start couldn't hurt. There are better ways, though than ones that stain and erode your teeth.

Did Someone Say Tea?
It's true, tea is naturally caffeinated and can do a lot to push you through your busy schedule. Just be careful, as some dark teas also have staining capabilities! There are a lot of light options to choose from, and you can cater your tea drinking experience to achieve other desired effects as well, such as stress relief. There are much more unique and interesting ways to get your caffeine fix as well.

For example, companies have concocted caffeine infused lotions, lip balms, soaps, and even bracelets with replaceable caffeine patches. Pretty neat, huh? None of these alternatives have the same harmful effects as coffee, but provide the same boost.

There are caffeine infused waters, hot sauces, and even gummy bears if you are looking for a sweet treat. There are a lot of options that don't take a toll on your pearly whites.

Getting through your work day without a cup of Joe can be difficult if you are in the habit, but we highly encourage exploration. There are a ton of options.

Be careful of your caffeine intake as high amounts can cause other long lasting problems as well, but as far as your chompers are concerned, you got choices! Give some new ones a try and maybe you will find a new favorite to get you through your day!
